Margit bandura
Raised in Toronto and then Vancouver, Margit grew up listening to rock, folk and classical music. Her parents were music lovers. After moving to Kamloops in 1992, she built a successful career as a local musician. In 2001 Margit begin teaching private guitar, piano, vocal and songwriting lessons. Through word of mouth, she has been teaching for 26 years. Her love of kids and passion for music has made this a very successful career. In 2008 Margit met Rod Bandura and there was an instant connection. Rod’s First Nations name is Little Sky. They decided to combine names and became the Margit Sky Project. In 2020, Rod and Margit had their song “For the People” go to number one on the Indigenous Music Countdown on Sirius XM.

doug perry
Doug founded Perry's Recording Studio in 1980 and is a Sound Mixer and Recordist. His passion for music was the reason he created the studio to help foster great talent to the next level. The studio has seen a variety of musical styles over the decades. Doug is an Engineer, Producer, and Musician who has recorded both live and in the studio with many well known artists as well as new acts wanting to be guided in their music career.

shay paul
Shay is a Secwépemc multi-media artist, graphic designer, facilitator, and community organizer who operates in unceded Secwepemc’ulucw Territory. Shay has been an active advocate for artists and working to strengthen pre-existing foundations within the art community through collaborating with artists and organizations across the Southern Interior. She has diverse skills and experience coordinating several different scales of events and strives to learn more with every new project she is a part of. As an active artist in the community, Shay’s passion for working with and helping other artists drives her work in all aspects.

jay bearhead
Jay is Nehiyaw from Maskwacis in Treaty 6 territory in Alberta. He moved to Tk’emlúps in 2012 and has enjoyed the land, culture, and people of Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. Initially for sports, Jay's connection to the community is strong. He has been involved with Music for the People as a singer and dancer with Sage Hills for a number of years and looks forward to his time as a director.
